MISSION
Our mission is spread LOVE, inspiration and motivation through spectacular performances of HIGH quality dancing! We aim to not only bring joy to our audiences but to change and save lives whole doing it! Very often our pieces contain stories and messages of activism within them as well as fundraising for charities at certain events!
HISTORY
Dance is Love was founded in 2016 in Denver, CO by Allegra DuVal.
Allegra was inspired by the aftermath of the 2016 Presidential election to take action and use her platform to help others. She wanted to use her art and her voice to speak out against Racism, Bullying, Gender Inequality, Domestic Violence, Homophobia, Transphobia, Body Shaming and even do work with Suicide Prevention.
Allegra formed a group of her and her dancer friends and auditioned to be in Denver PrideFest. Not only did they make the audition but were 2nd place overall!
That year Allegra and her crew wow'd the main stage of PrideFest with several large productions including their unforgettable "Womyn's Fest" number. On the final day of PrideFest, Allegra and her crew were invited to be the OFFICIAL DANCE CREW of Denver PrideFest for the next 3 years!
DiL was very busy all over the Denver area from 2016-2020 performing at large events like Denver Fashion Week, Kevin Larson's White Rose Gala NYE, Kevin Larson's Paranormal Palace, Kevin Larson's Mardi Gras, Daybreaker Events, Private Events and even a commerical for the City of Denver!
Dance is Love is now directed by both Allegra and her mother Heidi!
